Dad was a joker and a prankster.  I’m sure his work colleagues can tell a few stories but one I remember is when he worked as a paint sprayer.  A lot of people would take in tinned food to heat in the oven for lunch.  One day dad took a can of cat food and withoutcomment heated it and ate it.  His colleagues and friends were obviously somewhat confused and a little disgusted.  Dad ended up with several offers from people wanting to bring him sandwiches for lunch the following day.  Of course the tin actually contained Irish Stew, he just swapped the label!
